New Self P

It didn't take me very long to hate the last self portrait I did. It could've been worse, but I whipped one up I'm a little more comfortable with technically. Moving on...

Abstract 3D Art

So I've started developing a line of graffiti influenced abstract 3D Art. I'm still kind of trying to figure out what I'm gonna call the whole project.... it's like abstract engineering or something, I'll figure it out... I got some really coo ideas with more focus for the upcoming pieces though. For example I think I'm gonna roll with a BMW version for my next piece, basically incorporating random manufacturer parts, etc. into another mass of 3D shapes.

This is the first piece I produced, although it's not even completely finished - it still needs some detail work and touching up, but you pretty much get the idea.

Fenway Park Model

I started up a Fenway Park model and figured I'd post a progress shot since it's pretty developed at this point. Really just gotta throw the seats in, set up the surrounding environment, and polish all of the textures!

I built this thing to scale by the way, down to the foot.

Urban Artwork

So I figured to keep the flow going and things fresh I would occasionally post some of my "Urban Artwork." I haven't painted in well over a year unfortunately, since my focus is elsewhere at the moment. I'm planning on returning to action in the next year or two.

Battle Angel Alita (Gunnm) Wireframes

Here are some wireframes of the Battle Angel model I created last year, I recently began texturing it and would like to wrap that up soon. For those of you who don't know, Battle Angel Alita (known as Gunnm in Japan) was a graphic novel series by Yukito Kishiro, published in the 90's and also produced as an anime.

Another fun fact is that recently James Cameron announced his desire to direct a live action film adaptation once he completes the Avatar project. I guess I'm ahead of the curve since I launched this concept well before he made that public knowledge?

Rough Model Sheet/Model

I was working on this as an art test for a company a couple of weeks ago. The company provided the character concept, which I based the model sheet and rough 3D model on. Tough to really see the model in this shot - needs a little tweaking and some texture maps before I repost!

Roller Derby Girl

After going through many changes since my rough sketch, this was the outcome of my Roller Derby Girl. Wish I had a little more fun with this one but it was a rough week (travel, sick) and it got to the point where I just had to get it done unfortunately. I'm mostly happy with it I just would've liked to polished it more, the helmet is kind of lacking detail...

Website Header Image

I was redesigning my website last week, and decided to create a new header image. Something a little more contained to itself and less flashy. I created a new sketch with some of the elements from my old design, and included the quick process I went through. The shaded image below is still a bit incomplete, but that's alright.
